Developmental Assets for Healthy Childhood

Many factors play a role in the growth and development of our children. A research organization recently compiled a list (http://www.search-institute.org/assets/forty.htm) of 40 elements important for healthy child development. As parents, grandparents, and neighbors, we cannot always provide all of these 40 elements to each child. But the more elements each child is exposed to, the better. We have found this list to be an excellent guide and hope you do also.

This list is also available in Spanish: Elementos fundamentales del desarrollo: To view the 40 developmental assets in Spanish, click here.
