Earned Income Credit (EIC)

l The EIC is a special benefit for low and moderate income working people who are raising children.
l The EIC program provides working grandparents who qualify with assistance by either (1) if you owe taxes--reducing the amount you owe or giving you money back; or (2) if you owe no taxes-- giving you money back.
l The EIC is a tax credit program
